Recycle for your Life (Day6)

Story of day 6 (Greek day)

Starting the Greek day was the Energizer. The first game we played was called Mila (meaning apples). The game consisted of having the players in the middle of the field, with 4 people outside throwing balls to them. If you are hit, you lose your one life and get out of the game. The last person standing wins.

The second game consisted of a rope being stretched higher and higher, and the whole team had to cross over it, with the help of each other.

At Greek workshop we had a pleasure to not only talk about recycling and beauty of Greece, but we spoke with ancient Greek gods too. We had to find a solution how can every god help us. They told fun facts about every god and then we had some time to think good answers. It was both funny and interesting for everyone.

For the team building activity, they split us into 3 groups. Each team was then divided in two again. The goal of the exercise was to build a house, but with a twist. The halves of each team couldn't see what the other one was doing, nor did they know which materials they got. We could only communicate with maximum 3 messages, a 45-second "call" and a "see" (one half sent someone to look at the other half's house, but they had to be completely silent). The three teams took different approaches. Team one split the work in the bottom and the roof and they communicated via a secret coding system. Team two split the work similarly, but they used all the help they could. Team three split the whole house in two and relied mostly on trust.

We watched videos about the youthpass and their keys.

The youthpass Youthpass is a European recognition tool for non-formal and informal learning in youth work.

These are the non formal learning points of youthpass: - Communication in mother tongue - Communication in foreign language - Mathematical competence and basic competence in science and technology - Digital competence - Learning to learn - Social and civic competence - Sense of initiative and entrepreneurship - Cultural awareness and expression

Greek cultural night

We started off with a quiz about greece on kahoot. Then we went outside and firstly we had to dance a traditional greek dance that goes in a circle. I really enjoyed it. Then we tasted some traditional greek food. We had Tzatziki with bread, feta cheese, olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, some traditional sweets etc... And also some strong alcohol. All thee food was really tasty and it reminded me of summer. After eating we danced a bit more. I don't think that I've ever gotten this full at a cultural night.
